By placing an order via this website you are making an offer to us to purchase the goods detailed in your order upon the terms described in your order.
When you place an order, we will require your name, email address, credit/debit card, phone and address details. This information is required in order to process your request or inform you of our acceptance of your order. A contact phone number is needed so that we can get in touch if there is a problem with your order. We may, unless you inform us otherwise, provide our couriers with your contact phone number in case they need to reach you to arrange the delivery of your order.
After placing an order online, we will provide you with confirmation that your order has been received but this is not confirmation that your offer to buy the items has been accepted. A contract for the sale of our products to you will only exist once an order made by you has been accepted and processed by us and dispatched to you.
Please note that we will not be able to meet an order as a result of the following reasons or circumstances:
- If the product you ordered is out of stock
- If we are unable to authorise your payment
- If at any time before dispatch to you following any acceptance by us it is identified that there is a product description or pricing error
- If you do not meet any order criteria outlined in these Terms
Please note that we will not be liable for the non-delivery or late delivery of any order accepted and processed by us, which arises as a result of our delivery companies being unable to deliver due to exceptional conditions that are beyond our control including hazardous weather and accidents.
The following terms set out your entitlement to cancel any items ordered by you, accepted by us and dispatched to you:
You may only cancel an order by notifying us in writing by email to firstname.lastname@example.org, quoting your order number (Cancellation Notice). Any such Cancellation Notice must be emailed to us within 7 working days of the day after you receive the goods and thereafter you will have no right to cancel the goods.
- Items must be returned to us at the following address within 14 working days of your Cancellation Notice: Reasons to be Jolly, The Gate House, Ogbury House, Great Durnford, Salisbury SP4 6AZ.
- All returned goods must be unused, unopened, in perfect condition (including original packaging) and remain in re-sellable condition. We reserve the right to deduct 20% of the original price paid by you for any items which are returned for a refund that are delivered back to us marked, scratched or which are not in an unused, unopened, or perfect condition (including the original packaging).
- No refund will be given by us for the original cost of postage or packaging the goods to you and which was selected by you at the time of your original order
- In no circumstances will we exchange or accept returns on items that have been used, soiled or dismantled.
- Please keep all packaging, spare parts and instructions and return the goods in the unused, unopened and perfect condition they were received by you.
- Items returned to us more than 14 working days after your Cancellation Notice cannot be refunded however we may exercise our discretion to exchange such items in circumstances where they are returned to us in an unused, unopened and perfect condition
- When an item has been personalised we can only accept a return if there is a fault or a quality problem
- Outlet items are not returnable and not refundable in any circumstances.
It is your obligation to inspect the condition of any item delivered to you upon or within 48 hours following its delivery to you. In the event that you consider the goods are not in perfect condition you must notify us of the fault or quality issue within 48 hours of receiving the item by email to us to email@example.com attaching photographic evidence the damaged item(s) and quoting your order/ invoice number. Following delivery you have a duty of care to properly look after and insure any items that you have purchased from us.
Prices and availability of goods are subject to change by us without notice. A delivery charge will be added to your order value [where appropriate].
All dates quoted for delivery are estimated delivery dates only and may be subject to change. We can accept no liability for any loss or damage (whether direct or indirect) if delivery takes place at any time other than the estimated date for delivery. All orders received and accepted before 4pm will, subject to availability and where possible, be dispatched on the following day for a 5 working day delivery. Those orders received and accepted after 4pm will be deemed as received the following day and will be dispatched the day after.
Conformity of goods
We take every care to ensure that the description and specification of our products are correct at the time they are included on our website. However, specifications and descriptions of products on this website are not intended to be binding and are intended only to give a general description of the products. Furthermore, while the colour reproduction of the products is a close representation, we cannot accept any responsibility or liability for any variation in colour caused by the browser software or computer system used to view the products.
Your right to cancel
You have a right to cancel your order in writing within seven days of receipt of receipt of your ordered items and receive a refund of all charges. You will then need to return the item(s) either to our London show room (5, Wellington Close, W11 2AN) or by post or courier to Reasons to be Jolly, The Gate House, Ogbury House, Great Durnford, Salisbury SP4 6AZ. Parcels returned by post or courier are returned at your own cost.
While we hope that you will be delighted with the quality and design of the items you have ordered and which we have accepted and dispatched, we appreciate that sometimes you may want to return some items. Under the United Kingdom's Distance Selling regulations, you also have certain rights to cancel your order for a full refund for any item purchased from us.
We cannot accept liability for goods lost or damages in transit, therefore we strongly recommend that you obtain a FREE Certificate of posting from the Post Office. For extra peace of mind, you may want to return the goods to us by Recorded delivery.
Unfortunately, we are unable to refund the return postage. On a first exchange of an item we will cover the cost of standard postage to send the replacement item to you. Subsequent exchanges will be charged at our standard delivery rate.
Refunds will be processed within 28 working days of receiving the goods back from you. The payment will be made via your original method of payment. When returning goods on which you have received a discount/special offer that offer/discount will no longer apply and will be deducted from the original price.
Although we do our best to ensure that the item(s) you have ordered are well packed when leaving our warehouse, we rely on third party companies to deliver the parcel to your front door and sometimes accidents happen in transit. If you have received a damaged item, please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience. To ensure a smooth replacement, please follow the steps [set out under the heading Cancellation above]
We will aim to send you a replacement within 2 to 3 weeks subject to stock availability.
All prices quoted on this website are accurate at the time of publication, are quoted in pounds sterling and are inclusive of UK sales tax (VAT) at the current rate.
Security of payment
If your credit/debit card is used fraudulently as a direct result of being used to buy from our site, we will assume liability for the first £50 of your loss. Your credit card company is under obligation to take responsibility for the rest. We will use reasonable endeavours to work with your credit card company to minimise the hassle for you.
Disclaimer and limitations of liability
